Edward E. Burr founded the nonprofit organization, Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF), in Jacksonville, Florida in 1997 on the one-year anniversary of the death of his late wife, Monique Burr who was avid child protection advocate, to continue her legacy to protect children by providing the best comprehensive, evidence-based prevention educational programs.
The MBF Prevention Education Programs educate and empower children and relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to the four types of child abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect), exploitation, bullying, cyber-bullying, human trafficking, digital abuse, and other digital dangers.
